As the Director, you will play a crucial role in leading and managing our nursing department to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care. Develop and implement strategic plans for the nursing department in alignment with the overall goals and mission of Baptist Health South Florida. Provide strong leadership and guidance to nursing staff, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment. Oversee the recruitment, hiring, and training of nursing staff, ensuring the department is adequately staffed with qualified and competent individuals. Monitor and evaluate the performance of nursing staff, providing feedback and implementing corrective action as needed. Develop and maintain effective relationships with medical staff, interdisciplinary teams, and other departments to ensure coordinated and comprehensive patient care. Ensure compliance with all regulatory and accreditation standards related to nursing practice, safety, and quality of care. Develop and manage the nursing department budget, making strategic decisions to optimize resources and control costs. Act as a liaison between nursing staff and hospital administration, communicating department needs, challenges, and successes. Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve and streamline nursing processes. Stay current on industry trends and best practices in nursing and healthcare, and proactively make recommendations to improve patient care and outcomes. Collaborate with other healthcare leaders to identify and implement quality improvement initiatives. Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional development for nursing staff.
