Broadcast Engineer

Location: Remote – Egypt Industry: Broadcasting & Video Streaming

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Broadcast Engineer to join a leading company in the broadcasting and video streaming industry. This is a remote position based in Egypt, where you will be responsible for supporting, maintaining, and optimizing broadcasting systems and video streaming platforms. The role requires strong expertise in Linux administration, networking, and streaming technologies to ensure smooth and reliable operations.

• Provide Linux server support for broadcasting and streaming platforms.
• Manage, maintain, and optimize network infrastructures to ensure high availability and performance.
• Perform support, maintenance, and troubleshooting of video streaming systems.
• Ensure system security, manage user access, and handle authentication processes.
• Collaborate with internal technical teams to enhance broadcasting workflows and operational efficiency.

• Proficient in Linux operating systems (primarily Ubuntu).
• Strong knowledge and hands-on experience at the Linux system administrator level.
• Ability to effectively use shell commands and perform advanced terminal operations.
• Solid understanding of network structures and protocols.
• Familiarity with key Linux services, including:
  • NTP (Network Time Protocol)
  • SFTP (Secure File Transfer Protocol)
  • NFS (Network File System)
  • Samba

• Bash scripting skills for automation and system optimization.
• Familiarity with FFmpeg for video processing and transcoding.
• Experience working with LDAP systems for authentication and access control.
• Previous experience in broadcasting, video streaming, or media technology environments.
