The Role: Instructor, Data Analytics

As a Data Analytics Instructor at Fullstack Academy, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the next generation of data analysts. You'll create dynamic learning experiences, leveraging instructional best practices to meet the needs of adult learners. Your expertise will not only be shared through teaching select lessons from our curriculum but also through providing individualized support to students, both during and outside class hours. This is a part-time remote role, with classes delivered synchronously online, and you'll be supported by a collaborative academics team to ensure an exceptional experience for each student in the cohort.

Key Responsibilities

• Create a positive, professional, and inclusive learning environment that fosters student engagement and success.
• Teach select lessons in accordance with learning objectives and fidelity to session plans provided by Fullstack Academy.
• Employ strategies known to meet the needs of adult learners, leveraging tech tools and instructional best practices to engage learners.
• Help students connect data analytics concepts to real-world applications by sharing industry insights and your professional experience.
• Manage regular communication with students to align on progress, expectations, celebrate milestones, and address areas of concern.
• Provide individualized student support during synchronous class sessions and outside class hours, both synchronously during office hours and asynchronously through timely communication.
• Respond to communication from students and staff in a timely and professional manner.
• Leverage instructional resources to meet the diverse needs of students with varying backgrounds and experience levels.
• Adhere to all Fullstack Academy policies and instructional team expectations.
• Evaluate student performance and progression toward competencies based on course deliverables and course rubrics.
• Provide constructive and timely feedback to students in the cohort.
• Maintain accurate and current records and documentation related to student progress.
• Escalate concerns in a timely manner to the Lead Instructor and assist in the management of Performance Action Plans for individual students who need additional support.
• Serve as a role model for students, exhibiting professionalism, an ethical and empathetic approach, and acting as an ambassador for our brand.
• Promote student retention and amplify student satisfaction by creating a positive classroom culture, communicating timely with students, and leveraging effective interventions and sharing of resources.
• Encourage teamwork and seek feedback for continuous improvement.

Qualifications and Eligibility

To be eligible for this role, you must meet one or more of the following criteria:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field such as mathematics, finance, statistics, or economics.
• Bachelor's Degree in any field with transcript evidence of successful completion of 12 credit hours of computer science, mathematics, or science, AND a minimum of one year of professional experience as a Data Analyst, Business Intelligence Analyst, or in a similar role.
• Bachelor's Degree in any field AND a minimum of three years of professional experience as a Data Analyst, Business Intelligence Analyst, or in a similar role.
• A minimum of five years of professional experience as a Data Analyst, Business Intelligence Analyst, or in a similar role.

As a Part-Time Instructor, you'll work approximately 25-27 hours per week. We're committed to ensuring that our compensation is fair and reflective of your skills and experience. The expected compensation for this role is between $40-$43 per hour.
