Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement data storage solutions, including all layers of data architecture (ingestion, storage, serving layer) in Azure cloud.
  • Develop and execute data processing pipelines using various ETL tools for data ingestion, cleansing, transformation, and job scheduling.
  • Ensure data security by implementing role-based access control, masking, and encrypting sensitive data.
  • Monitor and optimize data storage and processing systems using monitoring tools and techniques such as file format and query tuning.
  • Manage stakeholders and drive timely execution of tasks using agile methodologies.
  • Build robust and scalable technology solutions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Lead and mentor team members on technical skills and best practices.

Essential Qualifications and Skills

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a strong background in computer sciences or a related field, with a deep understanding of cloud technologies and experience in delivering large-scale projects on time. Some of the key qualifications and skills required for this role include:

  • A bachelor's degree in Computer Sciences or a related field.
  • Profound knowledge of Azure Synapse Analytics (formerly Azure SQL Data Warehouse), Azure Data Factory, and other Azure cloud services.
  • Hands-on experience with PySpark, Spark SQL, T-SQL, and other data processing technologies.
  • Excellent understanding of Agile methodologies and experience in delivering reliable project outcomes.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a high attention to detail.
  • Certification in DP-203 (Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate) is highly desirable.

Preferred Qualifications

In addition to the essential qualifications, Puma is looking for candidates with experience in Azure Functions (coded in Python) and other related technologies. A strong understanding of data security and compliance is also highly valued.
