About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Full Stack Big Data Analyst to join our team in Texas, USA. As a Big Data Analyst, you will play a critical role in driving the success of our business by analyzing complex data sets, identifying trends, and developing insights that inform our strategic decisions. Key Responsibilities

• Drive complex self-service data integration projects that combine data from disparate sources to make it accessible to business users like data scientists, analysts, and decision-makers.
• Drive cross-functional teams to apply advanced data integration philosophies and tools to large data sets to create solutions that can be used in descriptive, predictive, prescriptive, and exploratory analysis.
• Drive communication with business leaders across multiple and simultaneous projects to ensure that data-driven insights are effectively communicated and acted upon.
• Define and communicate solutions and recommendations to stakeholders, ensuring that data-driven insights are effectively translated into business outcomes.
• Act as an informed authority for data resources and monitor the ongoing effectiveness of data resources being used by business users in self-service conditions.
• Support the ongoing development of the Southwest Airlines data science center and community.
• May perform other work assignments as directed by Manager's Chiefs.

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following qualifications:

• Middle-level knowledge of both inductive and deductive thinking and critical thinking approaches.
• Transitional knowledge in assessing and applying suitable data analysis and measurement methods for a business issue.
• Transitional knowledge of acquiring and consuming data in both structured and unstructured data sets.
• Halfway knowledge in coordinating, storing, and managing large amounts of data necessary for analysis and visualization.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language and open-source tools.
• Proficiency in at least one data integration and business intelligence tool.
• Proficiency in cloud-based platforms and models relevant to developing and maintaining self-service data resources.
• Talented in decision-making and project management skills.
• Ability to communicate complex data insights to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and adjust approaches/philosophy as needed to achieve goals.

Preferred Qualifications

We are looking for candidates with the following preferred qualifications:

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
• Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, and NoSQL databases.
• Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or D3.js.
• Experience with cloud-based platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Experience with data integration tools such as Informatica, Talend, or AWS Glue.
• Experience with business intelligence tools such as SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Power BI.
