Job Summary
As an online science tutor with PrepNow, you will have the opportunity to work with students in a virtual environment, providing one-on-one support and guidance in biology, chemistry, and/or physics. You will be responsible for creating engaging and effective lesson plans, delivering high-quality instruction, and assessing student progress. Key Responsibilities
* Tutor students in biology, chemistry, and/or physics (basic through AP) in a virtual environment
- Create engaging and effective lesson plans that meet the needs of individual students
- Deliver high-quality instruction and provide ongoing support and guidance to students
- Assess student progress and adjust instruction accordingly
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to keep them informed of student progress
- Participate in ongoing professional development and training to stay up-to-date on best practices in online tutoring
Essential Qualifications
* 2+ years of experience tutoring or teaching science subjects
- Bachelor's and/or Master's degree from a top 50 college or university in a science-heavy major
- Strong knowledge of biology, chemistry, and/or physics, including curriculum and instructional methods
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to commit to at least 6 hours of tutoring per week for a minimum of 4-6 months
Preferred Qualifications
* Certified teacher or current and former college professor or instructor
- Experience working with students of diverse backgrounds and skill levels
- Familiarity with online tutoring platforms and tools
- Strong understanding of educational technology and its applications in the classroom
