Job Summary

The Senior DevOps Engineer plays a key role in designing, automating, and optimizing cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines to support scalable, secure, and resilient systems. This position requires deep expertise in AWS, infrastructure as code, and system reliability. The ideal candidate is a hands-on engineer and technical leader with a passion for automation, operational excellence, and cloud-native architectures. Working closely with engineering, security, and operations teams, this person will drive best practices, streamline deployment workflows, and continuously improve platform performance and reliability.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement scalable and secure AWS-based cloud infrastructure

  • Develop, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines for efficient software delivery

  • Automate infrastructure provisioning using infrastructure-as-code tools

  • Ensure system reliability, high availability, and performance across environments

  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure and application issues

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enforce deployment, monitoring, and security best practices

  • Mentor engineers and contribute to the continuous improvement of DevOps practices and tooling

  • Support compliance efforts and security requirements in cloud-based systems

Qualifications and Job Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure, automation, and deployment pipelines

  • Strong hands-on experience with AWS

  • Expertise in infrastructure automation and configuration management (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible)

  • Proficiency with CI/CD tools and release automation (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, CodePipeline)

  • Experience designing and operating secure and highly available systems in cloud environments

  • Strong scripting skills (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell)

  • Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools (e.g., CloudWatch, Datadog, Prometheus)

  • Knowledge of security and compliance practices in the cloud

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex distributed systems

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
