Job Overview

As a Software Development Engineer on our Sponsored Products Core Supply Infrastructure team, you'll be responsible for building large-scale, distributed systems that bridge the gap between advertiser demand and publisher supply on Amazon. You'll be developing a first-of-its-kind platform that will allow advertising programs across Amazon to provide customers with a coherent and holistic product discovery experience across organic and sponsored selection. This is a unique opportunity to make a significant impact, with your work directly visible on the Amazon website, viewed by tens of millions of customers, and driving quantifiable revenue impact.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain large-scale, distributed systems that drive Amazon's advertising business
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize project requirements
• Contribute across the full stack, growing and broadening your technical skills in an environment that thrives on creativity, experimentation, and product innovation
• Participate in code reviews, ensuring high-quality, maintainable code
• Work closely with product managers to shape our engineering and product roadmaps
• Experiment and innovate, leveraging Amazon's broad mandate to try new approaches and technologies

Essential Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience (design patterns, reliability, and scaling) of new and existing systems
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language

Preferred Qualifications

• 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent
• Strong understanding of software development principles, including object-oriented design, data structures, and algorithms
