Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with learning coaches, support staff, and students to prepare the learning environment and learning objectives that align with students' learning styles and the school's philosophy.
• Provide live, synchronous whole group, small group, and/or one-on-one data-driven instructional sessions that use research-based strategies to target student learning needs.
• Collect and maintain all necessary documents of students on their roster to meet compliance requirements.
• Use the Student Information System (SIS) to maintain accurate and up-to-date records of attendance, coursework, student logs, progress grades, and to submit student report cards and school-wide assessment records on time.
• Conduct screenings, goal monitoring, and data collection to personalize and provide instructional support (in collaboration) with Education Specialists and other support staff to ensure all students (General, ELL, SPED, 504, etc.) are successful academically, behaviorally, socially, and emotionally.
• Support and participate in Local and State assessment requirements and procedures, including any required screening tools.
• Implement all IEP and 504 accommodations; utilize appropriate EL strategies (ex: SDAIE); and implement tiered interventions of the CCS MTSS framework.
• Prepare for and lead SST meetings regarding their students.

Requirements and Qualifications

Essential Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
• Valid California Teaching Credential with English Language Learner Authorization.
• English Single Subject Credential (Content-specific for Online High School Teacher).
• 1+ year of verified and successful teaching experience in a public school setting.
• Experience working with blended, online, personalized, and/or virtual learning schools preferred.
• Strong theoretical and practical knowledge base of educational best practices, recent research in education, and CA standards curriculum and objectives.
• Proficient in digital engagement: computer & software skills (e.g., Google Suite and Microsoft), social media literacy (e.g., Twitter, Google Classroom, website navigation), information & communication (email, intranets), web & mobile applications, interpersonal & social networking skills, and student/school systems (e.g., student information system, digital courseware, online learning platforms).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with competency-based education and personalized learning.
• Knowledge of educational technology and digital tools.
• Experience working with diverse student populations, including English language learners and students with special needs.
