Key Responsibilities

As an Experienced Route Delivery Driver, your primary responsibilities will include:

• Delivering packaged ice and frozen food products to our customers in a timely and efficient manner
• Invoicing and basic communication/interaction with customers to ensure seamless transactions
• Maintaining a clean and organized vehicle, adhering to safety protocols, and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures
• Building strong relationships with customers to promote customer satisfaction and loyalty
• Collaborating with the operations team to optimize delivery routes and schedules
• Participating in ongoing training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications:

• Must be at least 18 years old
• High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education or experience in a related field an asset
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Ability to obtain a CDL B permit within 2 weeks of hire date; Home City Ice will provide paid training to obtain a CDL B license
• Ability to pass a pre-employment background check, DOT physical, and drug screen
• Ability to repetitively lift and move product in quantities of 7lb and 20lb
• Ability to maneuver a loaded buggy in and out of customer stores
• Ability to maneuver or learn to use an electric pallet jack

Preferred Qualifications

While not essential, the following qualifications are highly desirable:

• Previous experience in a delivery or transportation role
• Familiarity with ice and frozen food distribution services
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with inventory management software
