About the Role: Claims Processor/ROI Medical Records Specialist
We're seeking a skilled Medical Records Data Entry Specialist to join our Release of Information (ROI) team. As a Claims Processor/ROI Medical Records Specialist, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the accurate and efficient processing of medical records. Your expertise will be instrumental in maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements, verifying information, and preparing correspondence with various stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform document preparation tasks, including sorting, filing, and boxing records
- Communicate effectively with insurance agents, beneficiaries, attorneys, patients, and hospital staff
- Prepare claim forms and related documentation for audits and/or mail out
- Review claim submissions and verify information to ensure accuracy
- Record and maintain policies and claims information in database systems
- Comply with federal, state, and company regulation policies
- Perform clerical tasks as required, including scanning hard copy files to electronic images
- Ensure quality images and follow production procedures
- Complete internal documentation and tracking tasks
Requirements and Qualifications:
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office and computer knowledge
- Proficiency in medical terminology
- Excellent reading, writing, and communication skills in English
- Ability to communicate effectively with coworkers and management
- Strong organizational and clerical skills, with attention to detail
- Ability to work at a sustained pace to meet production rates while maintaining quality
- 1+ year of medical data entry experience
- 1+ year of medical front desk experience (preferred)

Schedule and Location:
This is an overnight shift position, working 6:00 pm - 6:00 am, Thursday - Saturday, and every other Wednesday. The first 3-6 months will involve day shift training (Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm). The location is 5633 Doolittle Rd, Jacksonville, FL 32254.
