Senior Data Engineer (Remote - Eastern Time Zone)

You'll collaborate with colleagues across the globe, working in a dynamic and innovative environment. The core technology stack for this role centers on Snowflake as the primary data platform, with SQL used for query development and optimization, and Python for data pipeline development and integration. You'll also work with AWS cloud infrastructure, Terraform, Airflow, API integrations, and other modern data tools. This is a hands-on engineering position responsible for building, optimizing, and maintaining data solutions that directly support business needs ideal for someone who enjoys direct technical problem-solving and hands-on development in a fast-paced environment. Essential Functions:

  • Design and develop scalable ETL/ELT solutions and data architectures (data lakes, data warehouses).
  • Write and optimize Snowflake queries and procedures.
  • Develop and maintain SQL code for data processing and analytics.
  • Build and maintain Python-based data pipelines and integrations.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions.
  • Integrate with email service providers and healthcare data sources via APIs.
  • Lead development efforts and coordinate with offshore teams.
  • Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards.
  • Support CI/CD processes using tools like Terraform and Airflow.
  • Maintain high standards of data quality and integrity across healthcare datasets.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in data engineering or similar role.
  • Strong proficiency in Snowflake and query optimization.
  • Advanced SQL skills.
  • 3+ years of experience in Python (PySpark a plus).
  • Experience with data pipeline tools (e.g., Apache Airflow, dbt, Kafka, Spark).
  • Solid understanding of data modeling, warehousing, and distributed systems.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools and infrastructure-as-code (e.g., Terraform).
  • Experience with AWS (preferred; Azure/GCP a plus).

The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time).
