Job Overview

We are looking for a skilled and passionate mathematics educator to fill a long-term substitute teaching position from November 27, 2023, through June 12, 2024. The successful candidate will have the ability to teach Honors Geometry and Algebra, as well as lead a homeroom. This is a full-time opportunity for a talented teacher to make a positive impact on the lives of our students and contribute to the vibrant community at Holy Names Academy.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach four classes of mathematics, including Honors Geometry and Algebra, using a variety of instructional strategies to engage students and promote academic excellence
• Lead a homeroom, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to students
• Develop and implement lesson plans that cater to the diverse needs and abilities of our students
• Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and communicate with parents and guardians as needed
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum, as well as participate in departmental meetings and professional development opportunities

Qualifications and Requirements

• Essential: Bachelor's degree in mathematics or a related field
• Preferred: Master's degree in mathematics or education, as well as teaching experience
• Ability to teach Honors Geometry and Algebra, with a strong understanding of mathematical concepts and principles
