Key Responsibilities

• Plan and execute new network deployments, as well as improve the efficiency of current networks
• Install, configure, and maintain network hardware and software
• Procure network hardware and manage subcontractors associated with network installation
• Design routing and switching to maximize network efficiency and security
• Recommend changes to improve network designs and determine hardware or software requirements related to such changes
• Provide technical support to junior staff and guidance on the development or investigation of systems
• Perform other work-related tasks as directed by management

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• A High School Diploma or GED
• A Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or a related field; or equivalent formal training
• Intermediate-level experience in network engineering, with a strong understanding of:
  • Network hardware/platforms (Cisco IOS, Cisco NXOS)
  • Communication protocols (TCP/IP) and routing protocols
  • WAN networking
  • Network analytic, monitoring, and analysis tools (e.g., Wireshark)
• The ability to analyze and troubleshoot complex network issues
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with business clients and technology support teams
• The ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and maintain a high level of productivity
• Excellent presentation and communication skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas and strategies to various audiences

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications are highly desirable:

• Experience working in a data center environment
• A strong background in network security and compliance
