We are currently seeking an experienced RN Clinical Care Leader to join our team at Broadway Hospital in Fargo, ND, and lead our Intensive Care Unit with expertise and compassion.

About Our Facility and the Role

Our 18-bed ICU at Sanford Health Broadway Hospital is a dynamic and fast-paced environment that caters to a diverse range of medical and surgical patients, including complex surgical cases, kidney transplants, and bone marrow transplants. As an Academic Teaching Facility, we provide our nurses with comprehensive education and experience in caring for various patient populations. Our Clinical Lanes program allows nurses to progress in their careers with pay increases, and we offer numerous professional development opportunities, including education, committee participation, and training as preceptors or rapid response nurses.

Key Responsibilities of the RN Clinical Care Leader

  • Facilitate healthcare services for patients in cooperation with the healthcare team, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
  • Utilize the nursing process to provide individualized care to patients, collaborating with inter-professional colleagues to plan, implement, and evaluate care.
  • Demonstrate competency and practice within the full scope of nursing expertise, adhering to age and population-specific standards.
  • Coordinate care, assess patients, provide education, and perform various nursing interventions as needed.
  • Assume a leadership role in high-risk situations, ensuring employee safety and adhering to Sanford Health's philosophy, goals, and standards of care.
  • Mentor staff, facilitate unit activities, and participate in house-wide and departmental committees.
  • Make patient assignments based on employee competencies, scope of practice, experience, and patient needs.
  • Demonstrate effective communication skills to negotiate and resolve conflicts with peers, colleagues, patients, and families.

Essential and Preferred Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • A Bachelor's degree in nursing (strongly preferred).
  • Graduation from a nationally accredited nursing program (preferred).
  • A minimum of one year of clinical nursing experience (two years preferred).
  • Currently holding an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing where the practice of nursing is occurring and/or possessing multistate licensure if in a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 60 days of employment.

Preferred qualifications include demonstrated involvement in clinical process improvement initiatives and certifications relevant to the specialty or service area.

Compensation, Perks, and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $34.00 - $51.00 per hour, depending on experience. Our benefits package includes:
