The Role

We're looking for enthusiastic and experienced remote Seasonal Customer Service Representatives to join our Customer Service team for a 3-month contract from November 5th to January 31st. As the friendly face of blithequark, you'll be the first point of contact for our customers, providing support via email and live chat. You'll be working closely with our in-house Customer Service Manager, Operations, and Tech teams to ensure seamless communication and issue resolution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional customer support via email and live chat, ensuring timely and accurate resolutions to customer inquiries
  • Carefully follow established procedures to ensure customers receive the correct information and a speedy resolution to their issues
  • Collaborate with other team members, external print partners, and 3PLs to troubleshoot problems and answer questions throughout the customer's journey
  • Work with design, operations, and tech teams to identify and resolve issues, ensuring a smooth customer experience
  • Prioritize tickets based on the direction of the shift supervisor, managing your workload effectively to meet SLAs and KPIs
  • Assist customers with using the online editor to create personalized gifts, advising on order edits, and answering product-related questions

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • 1+ years of customer service experience, preferably within an ecommerce business
  • A quick learner who's hands-on and not afraid to ask questions
  • Experience working within a team to meet SLAs or KPIs, with a high standard of customer engagement
  • Excellent written and spoken English
  • Knowledge of customer service software such as Zendesk, Freshdesk, or Intercom (desirable but not essential)
  • A quiet working environment at home with access to high-speed, private internet
  • A reliable laptop or desktop computer

Preferred Qualifications

While not essential, experience in the following areas will be considered an asset:

  • Ecommerce customer service experience
  • Knowledge of customer service software
  • Experience working in a fast-paced startup environment

As a Seasonal Customer Service Representative at blithequark, you'll enjoy:

  • A 3-month fixed-term contract from November 5th to January 31st
  • A competitive hourly rate of $21 per hour

  • Remote working arrangement with a flexible schedule (9 am to 5:30 pm ET, Monday to Friday, plus one weekend of work during the contract)
  • 1 hour unpaid daily lunch break
  • 1 paid wellness hour per week
  • 37.5 paid contract hours per week
  • 4 paid US Public Holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, New Year's Day, and Martin Luther King Jr. Day)
  • 6 paid days off
