Key Responsibilities

As a Customer Service Specialist-Extended Hours, you will be responsible for:

  • Delivering exceptional customer service through various channels, including phone, email, and online chat
  • Responding to customer inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner
  • Maintaining accurate records and documentation of customer interactions
  • Processing transactions, such as loan payments, stop payments, and debit card inquiries
  • Providing assistance with Internet Banking and Bill Pay
  • Resetting electronic banking PINs, duplicating statements, and answering debit card inquiries
  • Collaborating with internal teams to resolve complex customer issues
  • Identifying sales referral opportunities and making appropriate referrals
  • Participating in sales campaigns and promotions to drive business growth
  • Performing other duties as assigned by supervisor

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Extensive knowledge of deposits, loans, and banking products and services
  • Minimum of two years customer service experience or related experience
  • Financial Call Center experience preferred but not required
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft 360 (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)
  • Attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Flexibility and dependability, with a strong commitment to meeting deadlines
  • Ability to work outside normal banking hours, including evenings and weekends

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications would be an asset:

  • Experience working in a remote or virtual environment
  • Knowledge of banking regulations and compliance
  • Certification in customer service or a related field
  • Experience with sales and marketing campaigns
  • Strong leadership and coaching skills
