Job Summary

As an Insurance Customer Service Representative at Blithequark, you will play a critical role in delivering exceptional customer service to our policyholders. You will be responsible for handling inbound and outbound calls, emails, and direct mail to review policies, provide plan coverage information, and process policy changes. Key Responsibilities

  • Contact policyholders through inbound/outbound telephone calls, direct mail, and email to review policies prior to renewal, update policies, and enhance retention.
  • Counsel policyholders concerning appropriate coverage, policy limits, payment options, and state laws to ensure sufficient protection against risks covered by Property and Casualty insurance.
  • Provide quotes on endorsements as requested and identify opportunities to apply discounts.
  • Process changes to policies within EPIC and submit changes to specific companies.
  • Follow up with companies to ensure change requests have been processed in a timely manner.
  • Review policy information and reference company-specific claims procedures to assist insured in filing claims.
  • Mail insured documentation to be signed and returned as necessary and follow up to ensure documentation has been returned in a timely manner.
  • Recognize cross-sell opportunities (membership and insurance) and obtain quote information.
  • Document all activity (changes to policy, coverage options, recommendations, and cross-selling) in EPIC.
  • Utilize knowledge of insurance industry and club insurance agency policies and procedures to provide efficient and professional customer service.

Requirements

Essential Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 3+ years of increasingly complex customer service experience in an insurance environment.
  • Property and Casualty insurance license required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Membership license preferred and/or ability to obtain within 90 days of employment.

Skills and Competencies

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to utilize EPIC and other software applications.
