About the Role

As a Customer Support Agent at blithequark, you'll work remotely from Montana, USA, and be responsible for providing friendly support to our customers via phone, email, and other channels. You'll be the primary point of contact for many of our customers, and your excellent communication skills will ensure that they feel valued and supported throughout their travel journey.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external customers, ensuring positive interactions and resolving issues efficiently.
  • Work collaboratively as part of a team to ensure the success of blithequark.
  • Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and issues related to travel, baggage, and other services, resolving them promptly and within company guidelines.
  • Operate a computerized retail location system, manage boarding, baggage handling, reservations, and resolve related issues.
  • Greet and assist customers in a courteous and friendly manner, handling cash, checks, credit cards, and other forms of payment.
  • Check in baggage and freight, answer phone calls, and provide information to customers, resolving issues and addressing concerns.
  • Manage customer issues related to oversold flights, delayed or canceled flights, lost, delayed, or damaged baggage, and resolve them promptly.
  • Provide accurate and up-to-date information on flight schedules, reservations, and other travel-related queries.
  • Complete forms and reports as required by blithequark, and write anomaly and grievance reports as needed.
  • Perform other work-related tasks as directed by management.

Essential Qualifications

To succeed as a Customer Support Agent at blithequark, you'll need:

  • A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
  • The ability to type and use a computer keyboard with adequate speed to meet the demands of the role.
  • Strong reading comprehension skills, with the ability to follow instructions, learn, and understand tagging procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to work under stressful conditions and meet the public.
  • The ability to complete the Customer Service Specialist training program with an average score of 80% or higher.
  • Awareness of hazardous situations and the ability to handle emergencies on a case-by-case basis.
  • The ability to work under tight time constraints to achieve quick turns of aircraft.
  • A well-groomed appearance, in accordance with the Ground Tasks Representative Handbook and Work Understanding.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey information and instructions effectively.

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications will give you a competitive edge:

  • Previous customer service experience in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Familiarity with airline industry operations and procedures.
  • Experience working with computerized retail location systems and other customer service software.
