About the Role

As a Remote Record Clerk, you will play a critical role in maintaining the accuracy, integrity, and confidentiality of our records. Your primary responsibilities will include data entry, scanning, and filing tasks, as well as responding to internal and external requests for records. Key Responsibilities

  • Data Entry and Verification: Accurately and efficiently enter data into our record-keeping systems, verifying information for completeness and accuracy.
  • Scanning and Indexing: Scan and index documents, ensuring that they are properly labeled and stored in our digital filing systems.
  • Maintaining Organized Files: Maintain organized digital and physical files, ensuring that records are easily accessible and up-to-date.
  • Responding to Record Requests: Respond to internal and external requests for records, providing accurate and timely information.
  • Reviewing Records: Review records for accuracy and completeness, identifying and correcting any discrepancies or errors.

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent: A high school diploma or equivalent is required for this entry-level position.
  • Basic Computer Skills: You should have basic computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office and typing at least 40 words per minute.
  • Reliable Internet Connection: A reliable internet connection and a quiet workspace are essential for this remote role.
  • Attention to Detail: You should have strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to maintain accurate and up-to-date records.
  • 0-2 Years of Experience: While prior experience is not necessary, 0-2 years of experience in data entry, records management, or a related field is preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

If you have any of the following qualifications, you will be considered a strong candidate for this role:

  • Associate's or Bachelor's Degree: An Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Records Management, or a related field is a plus.
  • Certification in Records Management: Certification in records management, such as CRM or CRR, demonstrates your expertise and commitment to the field.
  • Experience with Database Management Software: Experience with database management software, such as SharePoint or FileHold, is highly valued.
  • Familiarity with Regulatory Requirements: Familiarity with HIPAA or other regulatory requirements is an asset, demonstrating your understanding of the importance of confidentiality and compliance.

Technical Skills

To perform this role successfully, you will need to be proficient in the following technical skills:

  • Database Management Software: SharePoint, FileHold, or other database management software.
  • Document Scanning Software: Adobe Acrobat or other document scanning software.
  • Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, Outlook, and other Microsoft Office applications.
  • Electronic Record-Keeping Systems: Experience with electronic record-keeping systems is an asset.

Compensation and Benefits
