Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Customer Service Specialist to join our remote team. As a Customer Service Specialist, you will be the face of our company, providing exceptional end-to-end service to our customers who use and/or generate renewable energy at home. You will be working in a fast-paced environment, taking calls and answering emails, and providing technical support to our customers. Key Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional customer service to our customers via phone, email, and other communication channels
  • Respond to customer queries and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner
  • Take ownership and accountability for customer problems and find solutions to resolve them
  • Promote our digital services, such as Smart meters, to customers and help them manage their accounts in a more self-sufficient way
  • Work on technical tasks to proactively keep customer accounts healthy, such as resolving billing issues
  • Collaborate with other teams, such as sales and marketing, to provide a seamless customer experience
  • Participate in training and development programs to continuously improve your skills and knowledge

Essential Qualifications

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records
  • Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a customer-facing role, preferably in the renewable energy industry
  • Knowledge of customer service principles and practices
  • Experience with CRM software and other customer service tools
  • Ability to speak multiple languages

Skills and Competencies

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to build rapport with customers and provide personalized service
  • Ability to work in a remote environment and maintain productivity
  • Strong technical skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and other software applications
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary and benefits package, including:

  • A starting salary of £25,500, with the opportunity to earn up to £28,500 as you progress in your role

  • A team performance-based incentive, with the opportunity to earn an extra £1000 per year
  • A £500 work from home allowance, paid monthly alongside your salary
  • A £500 travel allowance, paid monthly alongside your salary
  • 25 days annual leave, plus bank holidays and a day off for your birthday
  • An ethical pension plan with Aviva, with employer-matched contributions up to 7.5% of your base salary
