Job Summary

We're looking for a highly skilled and motivated Lead Media Systems Engineer to lead technical projects in our remote media technology development team. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining media systems and workflows to support various content delivery platforms. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Technical Projects: Take ownership of technical projects from conception to execution, ensuring high-quality delivery within established timelines.
  • Media Systems Development: Design, develop, and maintain media systems and workflows to support various content delivery platforms.
  • Troubleshooting and Maintenance: Identify and resolve technical issues in media systems promptly to minimize downtime and ensure uninterrupted content delivery.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams including software engineers, content creators, and project managers to drive innovation and deliver cutting-edge solutions.
  • Documentation: Create comprehensive documentation for media systems architecture, processes, and procedures to facilitate knowledge sharing and troubleshooting.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you'll need to possess the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Proven experience (3+ years) in media systems engineering or a related role, preferably in a remote work environment.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C++.
  • Strong understanding of media technologies including video encoding, streaming protocols, and content delivery networks (CDNs).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues efficiently.
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to collaborate with diverse teams in a remote setting.
