Key Responsibilities

  • Transfer confidential data from paper and/or electronic (typed) formats into billing software (Timeslips) using a keyboard, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Type in data provided directly from staff, maintaining a high level of productivity and efficiency.
  • Verify data by comparison and generating reports, ensuring that all information is accurate and up-to-date.
  • Sort and organize paperwork (electronic and hard copy) following data entry, maintaining a high level of organization and attention to detail.

Qualifications and Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a High School Diploma or equivalent, as well as prior work experience in data entry. While experience in a medical, legal, or insurance claims office is preferred, it is not essential. You will also need to demonstrate typing proficiency, with a preferred level of at least 45 words per minute (wpm) accuracy and no errors. Some understanding of the internal processes of medical facilities and med-legal terminology is also desirable.

  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail, with the ability to maintain this level in a fast-paced environment.
