So,... are you ready? JOB SUMMARY: This position is responsible for reviewing and evaluating first-year undergraduate applications. The position is hourly, remote, part-time, and seasonal in nature. The position is expected to work a minimum of 5 hours per week, but an average of over 10 hours per week for the majority of season which can include weekends. JOB DUTIES: 95% - Essential - Potential Student Evaluation: Evaluates academic credentials and reviews application information of potential students in a fashion consistent with current Admissions office and University procedures. Makes and communicates admissions decisions. Meets with prospective student and provides accurate information on admission and curriculum to foster effective prospective student experiences with the University. 5% - Essential - Training: Periodic training sessions and office updates will be needed to stay current with the requirements of this position. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Education - Bachelor's Degree Experience - 1 year of relevant experience PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS: Experience - 2 years of experience in higher education, specifically in Admissions Responsibilities JOB KNOWLEDGE Fundamental Job Knowledge - Fundamental working knowledge of concepts, practices and procedures and ability to apply in varied situations Supervisory Responsibilities No Supervisory Duties - Not responsible for supervising employees. Budgetary Responsibilities No Budget Responsibilities - No fiscal responsibility for the department's budget. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Communicate, converse, give direction, express oneself Recognize or inspect visually WORKING CONDITIONS: No working conditions WORK SCHEDULE: Standard Hrs: 10-15 per week Compensation Information Anticipated Hiring Range ($20.00 - $28.00 per hour) Salary is dependent upon several factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's previous experience, knowledge, skills and performance in accordance with Clemson's compensation guidelines. Essential Personnel Level Normal Operations Required to follow emergency facility closure directives, and not normally expected work on-site during emergency situations.
