In this vital role, you will serve as a key point of contact within a client-facing team, responding to a variety of client service requests and issues while delivering first-call resolution for 90-95% of inquiries.

Responsibilities

As a Customer Service Consultant on the Aetna Answer Team, you will be responsible for:

  • Responding to client service requests and issues in a call center environment, utilizing your exceptional customer service skills to address and resolve client concerns effectively.
  • Delivering first-call resolution for 90-95% of inquiries, accurately identifying, researching, and resolving issues based on initial client communication.
  • Providing support for enrollment and billing inquiries, commissions, technical support, and group administration, leveraging your problem-solving skills to address complex issues.
  • Demonstrating a strong client-facing orientation and exceptional customer service skills in all interactions with clients, ensuring a positive and personalized experience.
  • Utilizing problem-solving skills to address and resolve client concerns effectively, developing technical acumen to aid in resolving more complex issues.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Prior call center experience, with a proven track record of delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Experience in process improvement and root-cause analysis methodologies, with a strong understanding of technical acumen.
  • A strong client-facing orientation and exceptional customer service skills, with the ability to develop technical acumen.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills, with the ability to address and resolve complex issues effectively.

Nice-to-Haves

While not required, the following skills and qualifications are highly desirable:

  • Experience in health care or a related field.
  • Knowledge of Aetna's products and services.
  • Certification in customer service or a related field.
  • Experience with process improvement and root-cause analysis methodologies.
