- Strong patient education skills on oral hygiene and disease prevention
- Proficiency in dental procedures such as deep scaling and coronal polishing
- Ability to perform diagnostic procedures, including taking x-rays
- Experience in conducting dental prevention activities

Responsibilities
- Educate and empower patients on oral hygiene and nutrition
- Provide expert dental care, including deep scaling and fluoride application
- Perform diagnostic procedures such as taking x-rays and measuring periodontal pockets
- Coordinate and conduct dental prevention activities like health fairs
- Maintain hygienist supplies and instruments, ensuring sterilization
- Travel to local and remote sites to provide dental hygiene services
Qualifications
- Graduation from a two-year Dental Hygiene Program
- Pass the National Board Examination for Dental Hygienists
- A current Alaska Dental Hygiene License (preferred) or the ability to obtain one
- Current CPR certification
- A sense of adventure and willingness to relocate to Klawock
