Data Engineer (MA or REMOTE)

This is a full time, exempt role.POSITION OVERVIEW:Data engineering is the aspect of data science that focuses on practical applications of data collection and analysis. This role primarily will become proficient with all internal & external data produced and consumed by Hanover's business areas. The engineer will understand where the data is, basic data models and architecture, how to access and obtain data and how to manipulate and work with data to produce output - which may be reports, datasets or self-service reports.IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL:Design, construct, install, test, and maintain highly scalable data management systemsDevelop ETL processes that ensure data quality and reliabilityWork closely with stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver solutionsBuild data pipelines for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from a wide variety of data sourcesImplement and maintain data warehouse solutionsCollaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate data-related projectsWHAT YOU NEED TO APPLY:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fieldMinimum of 2 years of experience as a Data EngineerStrong programming skills in Python and proficiency in SQLExperience building and optimizing data pipelinesFamiliarity with cloud platforms, particularly Azure servicesMust be a US Citizen or Green card holderSolid understanding of data warehousing conceptsExcellent problem-solving and communication skillsMust be eligible to work in the US without requiring sponsorship now or in the future (IE: US Citizen or green card required) Relationship Builder - Understands the importance of developing and maintaining cooperative relationships with others at all levels of the organization by making others feel their concerns and contributions are important.
