Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be tasked with the following responsibilities:

  • Performing data entry of purchase order requisitions into blithequark's electronic financial system with high accuracy and efficiency.
  • Scanning documents and maintaining electronic records in accordance with blithequark's policies and procedures.
  • Sending approved documents to external vendors and internal blithequark departments in a timely manner.
  • Providing assistance with answering phone calls and responding to general email inquiries from vendors, employees, and other stakeholders.
  • Maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive information with discretion.
  • Collaborating with the Purchasing Department staff to ensure seamless operations and resolve any issues that may arise.

Essential Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess the following essential qualifications:

  • A high school diploma or GED.
  • A minimum of 2-3 years of online data entry experience, demonstrating accuracy, speed, and attention to detail.
  • Excellent figure aptitude, organizational skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong data entry and verification skills, with the ability to transcribe numerical data into electronic format with a high level of accuracy.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and the ability to quickly learn new programs and applications.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with vendors, employees, and other stakeholders.
  • Employment is contingent upon a satisfactory background check, and candidates must be willing to sign a waiver authorizing the background check and produce a Social Security Card.

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications are preferred:

  • Experience with Ellucian or similar electronic financial systems.
  • Previous experience working in a purchasing or financial department.
  • Familiarity with remote work tools and technologies.
  • Availability to work 4 hours daily, 20 hours weekly, with flexibility to adjust schedules as needed.
