Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Member Service Representative to join our team. As a remote customer service representative, you will provide telephone assistance to Medicaid members and providers, addressing a range of inquiries, including eligibility, provider changes, and requests for ID cards. Your primary goal will be to deliver an exceptional experience to our callers, ensuring that every interaction is handled with professionalism, empathy, and a genuine commitment to their well-being.

Key Responsibilities

  • Answer incoming member and provider calls, responding to inquiries regarding benefits, eligibility, services, prior authorization requirements, extra benefits, and programs.
  • Utilize high-speed internet connectivity via an ethernet cable (Wi-Fi not permitted) to ensure secure and reliable service.
  • Participate in comprehensive training, which includes a six-week training schedule (8:30 AM – 5:00 PM EST, Monday through Friday), followed by a production schedule (8:30 AM – 5:00 PM EST, Monday through Friday).
  • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve member and provider issues, ensuring timely and effective solutions.
  • Maintain accurate records, adhere to performance standards, attendance requirements, and call quality goals.

Requirements and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you must possess the following essential qualifications:

  • Ability to communicate effectively with members and providers, both orally and in written form.
  • Capacity to meet performance standards, attendance requirements, and call quality goals.
  • Self-sufficiency and ability to work from home, with the option to commute to our office in Linthicum, MD, in the event of prolonged technical issues.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred qualifications include:

  • Experience working remotely in a call center setting.
  • Familiarity with Medicaid and Medicare.
