About the Role

As a Customer Service Representative at arenaflex, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional customer service support to our Review Team. This is a fully remote position, offering the flexibility to work from home and enjoy a great work-life balance. You will be responsible for interacting with beneficiaries and providers via our helpline, creating and proofreading letters, and maintaining timely communication. Your excellent decision-making skills will be essential in handling complex appeals and ensuring that our customers receive the best possible support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional customer service support to our Review Team, including interacting with beneficiaries and providers via our helpline
  • Create, format, and proofread letters and other correspondence, ensuring timely and accurate communication
  • Maintain effective working relationships between our internal and external customers, fostering a positive and supportive environment
  • Assist in identifying areas for potential improvement, participating in case reviews and process evaluations
  • Answer the Beneficiary Helpline, utilizing our hunt group and available light functions to determine the best course of action for each caller
  • Validate notices and medical records, ensuring accuracy and completeness
  • Provide intake for all appeals received by arenaflex, ensuring efficient and effective processing

Qualifications and Skills

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent, with post-high school business courses being helpful
  • Medical terminology knowledge, or a willingness to learn
  • Excellent verbal communication skills, with a courteous and patient demeanor
  • Good grammar, punctuation, spelling, hyphenation, and written communication skills
  • Customer-focused, results-oriented, and capable of building and maintaining relationships with internal and external customers
  • General knowledge of PC-based computer systems, with the ability to learn additional software packages as needed
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize assignments, and work independently

Preferred Experience:

  • Two to three years of clerical experience, including word processing, various filing systems, and telephone customer service responsibilities
  • Prior work in a healthcare setting or medical terminology, with previous data entry or other clerical experience being a plus
