Senior Software Engineer, Secure Agents (Remote - US or Canada)

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer with a focus on security to join a high-impact team building AI-driven enterprise solutions. This role is pivotal in designing, implementing, and maintaining secure software features and autonomous agents that interact with sensitive enterprise data. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ship resilient code in low-resource environments while advancing best practices in application security. This is a hands-on role requiring strong development skills, deep security knowledge, and the ability to innovate in complex technical environments. You will have the opportunity to shape security architecture, enhance platform capabilities, and influence the broader AI workspace ecosystem. Accountabilities
- Design, develop, and ship secure software features and autonomous agents within an AI workspace platform
- Implement minimal, efficient code that adheres to stringent deployment and security standards
- Integrate new tools and technologies to enhance platform security and privacy
- Perform application security testing to identify vulnerabilities and ensure resilience against threats
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure secure coding practices are followed across the stack
- Innovate solutions when off-the-shelf libraries or tools are insufficient due to security or deployment constraints
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in software engineering, with a focus on user-facing security features
- Strong production experience in Python and comfort working across the full stack
- Solid understanding of security principles, including session management, multi-factor authentication, and secure coding practices
- Ability to read, debug, and enhance code outside of the primary codebase when necessary
- Flexible and constructive problem-solving skills in fast-paced, dynamic environments
- Experience with low-resource environment deployments, secure-by-design architectures, or AI/enterprise platforms is highly desirable
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in remote and distributed teams
