Workforce Development Specialist (FATHER Project)

Goodwill-Easter Seals Minnesota is a nonprofit organization focused on creating career possibilities for individuals. The Workforce Development Specialist provides comprehensive career services, including outreach, individualized planning, and job placement support, ensuring positive employment outcomes for the individuals served.

Responsibilities

• Cultivates community relationships and promotes program services through direct engagement, event participation, and strategic outreach coordination
• Provides individualized support and service coordination to empower participants, address barriers, and foster sustained progress toward personal goals
• Provides career counseling and job placement assistance tailored to individual strengths, interests, and goals
• Maintains accurate and timely documentation in accordance with organizational policies and funder requirements

• Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills; able to represent GESMN professionally in all interactions

• Capable of managing multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and skilled in accurate data entry across computer-based systems
• Knowledge of data privacy regulations and ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
• Strong independent decision-making and problem-solving abilities
• Experience successfully managing a caseload and navigating complex service needs
• This role requires a motor vehicle record (MVR) check (no major violations, not more than two (2) minor violations, and not more than one (1) accident in the past three years), and the ability to meet GESMN's authorized driver requirements, including: Must have a valid driver's license, Must have proof of auto insurance with a minimum of $300,000 combined limit for bodily injury and property damage coverage, Must be 21 years of age or older
• Relevant Experience required (1-3 years)
• Associate Degree or Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
