Associate Claims Advisor, Auto

Gore Mutual is a modern mutual insurance company focused on transforming its business through technology and innovation. As an Associate Claims Advisor in the Auto department, you will investigate claims, educate customers about the claims process, and deliver exceptional customer service while processing claims payments.

Responsibilities

  • Investigate claims and determine coverage under a customer’s policy
  • Inform and educate customers about the claims process
  • Process claims payments and ensure accurate information is captured within our claims system
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to our customers and brokers

Skills

  • 1-3 years of prior customer service experience
  • Strong computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Effective Communication Skills: Ability to convey information clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing, to ensure mutual understanding and collaboration among team members and stakeholders
  • Sound Judgment & Decision-Making Skills: Capability to analyze situations, consider various perspectives, and make well-informed decisions
  • Strong Empathy: Demonstrating a deep understanding of and sensitivity to the feelings, thoughts, and experiences of others, fostering a positive customer experience
  • Resilience: Maintaining composure and a positive attitude in the face of challenges, setbacks, and stressful situations, while continuing to work towards achieving goals
  • Undergraduate or post-secondary degree is preferred
  • Insurance industry experience, call center experience, or experience within a brokerage setting is helpful
  • Interested in pursuing a CIP (Chartered Insurance Professional Designation)
