Estates Law Clerk

Work from home Full-time role Hiring

GGFI Law LLP is looking for an Estates Law Clerk to join their team. In this role, you will support the Estates Department by preparing legal documents, managing files, and ensuring smooth processes for clients.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare Applications of Certificates of Appointment (with or without a Will)
  • Complete Estate Information Returns
  • Draft and review estate, trust, guardian, and attorney accounts
  • Liquidate share assets
  • Complete reporting letters and other necessary correspondence
  • Assist in the preparation of Wills and Powers of Attorney
  • Perform other related duties as required

Skills

  • Graduate of a Law Clerk program from a recognized institution
  • Experience in Estates law at a reputable law firm
  • Excellent time management, organizational and prioritization skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively under tight deadlines
  • Ability to multi-task and take initiative
  • Excellent client service and strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Great attention to detail and ability to catch mistakes when proofreading
