ASSOCIATE PROPERTY AGENT

Caltrans District 3 is part of the California Department of Veterans Affairs (CalVet), which advocates for veterans and their families. The Associate Property Agent role involves managing complex tasks related to customer services and property management within the Homes Division.

Responsibilities

• Performs complex tasks
• Participates in the most difficult aspects of servicing operations
• Operates with a reasonable degree of independence as it relates to customer services
• Escrow account administration
• Property and title services
• Records and information management for the California Department of Veterans Affairs (CalVet) Home Loans Division

Skills

• You will need to take and pass an examination for Associate Property Agent to establish list eligibility prior to job offer
• Current version of the State Examination/Employment Application STD Form 678 (when not applying electronically), or the Electronic State Employment Application through your Applicant Account at www.CalCareers.ca.gov. All Experience and Education relating to the Minimum Qualifications listed on the Classification Specification should be included to demonstrate how you meet the Minimum Qualifications for the position

• Statement of Qualifications - Interested applicants must submit a Statement of Qualifications. Please see 'Statement of Qualifications section' for more details
• Veterans may qualify for a CalVet Veterans Hiring Preference. Military service must be included in the Employment History section of the Employment Applications (STD. 678). The application package must include documentation of discharge, appropriate to the branch of service. The documentation must reflect a discharge/release under conditions other than dishonorable
• Completed applications and all required documents must be received or postmarked by the Final Filing Date in order to be considered
• Individuals who are currently in the classification, eligible for lateral transfer, eligible for reinstatement, have list or LEAP eligibility, are in the process of obtaining list eligibility, or have SROA and/or Surplus eligibility (please attach your letter, if available)
• A complete application package includes: a STD. 678, Statement of Qualifications, and resume
• If your eligibility requires that you meet the Minimum Qualifications of the class and you qualify under pattern requiring education, then the selected candidate will be required to provide college transcripts prior to appointment
• The SOQ must be no more than 2 pages, typed, using 12-point Arial font on standard letter-sized paper with one (1)-inch margins
