Clinical Data Specialist - Data Annotation

The Clinical Data Specialist will focus on annotating surgical videos and images, ensuring quality standards for AI product development, while collaborating with a team to manage multiple annotation projects.
Responsibilities
- Annotate operating room workflow videos and images accurately and consistently to support AI product research and development
- Annotate surgical videos and images with their corresponding phases, steps, anatomy, and objects
- Ensure the alignment of visual content with the relevant language data, including identifying objects, actions, and context
- Maintain detailed documentation of annotation processes and methodologies to ensure adherence to company standards
- Collaborate effectively within a small team to share insights, challenges, and solutions in a proactive manner
- Manage multiple annotation projects simultaneously while adhering to deadlines and ensuring quality assurance
- Contribute to clinical lab data collection
- Participate in regular team meetings to discuss progress, share learnings, and refine best practices
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., life sciences, biomedical engineering, data science, etc.)
- Proven experience in data annotation. Experience with labeling tools and platforms, with a willingness to learn new tools as needed
- Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail
- Excellent documentation skills with the ability to clearly communicate processes and procedures
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify patterns in data, make informed decisions on labeling strategies, evaluate technology, and provide constructive feedback
- Comfortable working in a team-oriented environment with excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced setting
- Ability to watch live and recorded surgical videos
- Ability to handle confidential/sensitive information professionally
- Familiarity with surgical operating rooms, procedures, and workflows is a plus. Training and assistance will be provided in this area; however, prior experience and interest will be an advantage
