[Remote] Software Engineer (Ukraine)

They are seeking an early Software Engineer to join their dynamic team and contribute to developing new features, designing data models, and ensuring system performance and security.
Responsibilities
- Work with Product, Design and Stakeholders developing new features for our product
- Design and build data models, services, and APIs to power our web app
- Scale and secure our systems to support an increasing number of users, features, business requirements, partners, and engineers
- Analyze, debug, and fix performance and correctness issues
Skills
- 1.5+ years of industry experience
- Proficiency in CS fundamentals
- Professional experience with Ruby on Rails
- Mastery of OOP principles
- Web-app architecture design
- Curiosity or understanding of how everything fits together from web services up through display
- Ability to design reliable and extensible systems
- Adaptability to changing project needs
- Customer-centric mentality
- Ability to communicate regularly
- Upper-intermediate level of written and spoken English for day-to-day interaction
- Previous experience in the fintech and/or startup sector
