Senior Information Assurance Engineer

Basic Qualifications Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, or a related Science, Technology or Mathematics field. Also requires 8+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 6 years of job-related experience. CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Department of Defense TS/SCI security clearance is required at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required. • Build and maintain security artifacts like Risk Management Framework (RMF) security plans, testing plans, and System Impact Analyses to ensure compliance, readiness, and legitimate security of government systems.
• Conduct security tests and vulnerability scans using both manual and automated methods to identify and address risks.
• Collaborate with Development and Test teams to integrate and verify security requirements in cutting-edge cloud-native DevSecOps environments.
• Lead and support Assessment and Authorization (A&A) events, ensuring systems meet critical security standards.
• Work on-site at customer facility in Boulder Colorado, Buckley Air Force Base or remotely from home (3-5 days/week on site), driving hands-on impact.

What You Bring to the Table

• Familiarity with NIST SP 800-53 RMF, STIGs, and the Assessment and Authorization process.
• Strong understanding of Linux, Windows, and cloud-native technologies (FedRAMP experience is a plus).
• A proactive security mindset with the ability to identify and challenge system behaviors that deviate from security principles.
• Exceptional communication skills—both written and verbal—with the ability to convey complex security concepts clearly.
• Active TS/SCI clearance (required).
