Temporary Remote CAT Customer Service Representative Role

We are seeking highly motivated and customer-focused individuals to join our team as Temporary Remote CAT Customer Service Representatives. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and support to clients during times of need. This is a temporary, remote position, contingent on catastrophe relief needs, with hours available weekly on a coverage form.

Key Responsibilities

As a Temporary Remote CAT Customer Service Representative, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing positive customer service and technical expertise through prompt, accurate, and courteous responses to customer needs
  • Offering empathy and support to customers during the claim process
  • Collecting and documenting all claim details provided by the customer into the claim accurately
  • Identifying and resolving customer issues by adhering to clients-specific handling instructions
  • Utilizing call scripting to ensure consistency and efficiency in handling customer claims and inquiries

Computer Requirements

To ensure a seamless and efficient experience, you will need to meet the following computer requirements:

  • Operating System: Windows 10, Windows 11, or Windows Home
  • Not Supported: Chromebooks, macOS, Linux, etc.
  • Headset: Preferred but not required

Network Requirements

To ensure a secure and reliable connection, you will need to meet the following network requirements:

  • Speedtest: Upon hire, you must run a Speedtest from the computer you will be working from (www.speedtest.net)
  • Ethernet connection: Not required, but strongly recommended
  • Private network: Must be on a private network, not allowed to work in public locations
  • VPNs: Not allowed, as logins must happen in the US

  • Ability to evaluate, troubleshoot, and follow up on customer issues
  • Customer service oriented (empathetic, responsive, patient, and conscientious)
  • Ability to multi-task, stay focused, and self-manage
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications

To be considered for this position, you must meet the following qualifications:

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Excellent organizational, written, and oral communication skills
  • Ability to type swiftly and accurately (40+ words a minute)
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
  • Basic understanding of Windows operating systems
  • Highly reliable with the ability to maintain regular attendance and punctuality
  • Ability to evaluate, troubleshoot, and follow up on customer issues
  • Must be customer service oriented (empathetic, responsive, patient, and conscientious)
  • Ability to multi-task, stay focused, and self-manage
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be authorized to work in the country where the job is based
  • Must be willing to submit to a background investigation and drug test as part of the onboarding process. Job offers are contingent on background investigations and drug screening results.
