Junior Structural Engineer
IDOM USA is seeking a Junior Structural Engineer to join their team. The role involves performing engineering calculations, preparing specifications and technical reports, and assisting in project development while ensuring effective coordination with team members.
Responsibilities
- Perform engineering calculations, prepare specifications and technical reports, develop design details and seek help when needed
- Assist project development by being an engaged team member, asking questions to seek to understand, and speaking up about potential concerns or problems when appropriate
- Coordinate effectively with other members of assigned projects
Skills
- Minimum B.S. degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an ABET accredited University or equal
- 0-3 years of experience, inclusive of working, internships, or similar
- Willingness to take FE & register as EIT in first 6 months of employment, if not already obtained
- Ability to demonstrate base knowledge and familiarity in of relevant codes and standards, such as ASCE 7, IBC, AISC, ACI
- Strong foundational understanding of relevant engineering principles
- Commitment to outstanding customer service (internal and external)
- Drive to succeed
- Well-versed in foundations of structural engineering
- Ability to perform engineering calculations, prepare specifications and technical reports, develop design details and seek help when needed
- Engaged team member, asking questions to seek to understand, and speaking up about potential concerns or problems when appropriate
