Junior System Administrator
KBR is a company that provides high-end engineering and advanced technology solutions to the intelligence and national security communities. In this role, you’ll use your expertise as a Computer System Analyst to maintain 24/7/365 readiness in support of USSF operations and specialized missions.
Responsibilities
- Provides Network, Storage, Windows/Linux Server Support, Database and Web Server Administration Video Monitoring Systems, and resolving helpdesk tickets beyond the ability of KBR’s Junior System Administrators
- Assist users with troubleshooting/correction of issues on mission IT systems
- Support test activities, technical troubleshooting, and anomaly resolution on mission IT systems to maintain 24/7/365 mission readiness and/or resolve issues quickly to minimize mission impacts
- Perform systems administration of desktops, databases, and server systems connected to developmental networks
- Provide desktop system management involving account monitoring, security, operating system (OS) installation, and other local area system administration related functions on mission-support IT equipment
- As needed, assist SW developers with establishing and troubleshooting DevSecOps environments to support SW development and test prior to deployment on mission equipment/networks
Skills
- Active Secret clearance required
- Bachelor's degree in related field; or requires an equivalent combination of related training and experience
- Certifications: Minimum IAT Level 1, hardware/software specific training/certifications
- Experience with and understanding of NIST 800 series
- Experience with an understanding of ICD 503
- Military / DOD experience
- Clearable to TS/SCI
