Best Buy is a company dedicated to enriching lives through technology. As a Front-End Engineer I in the Ads Engineering team, you will be responsible for delivering complex product features, mentoring peers, and collaborating with stakeholders to design business-driven solutions.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop application features from concept to deployment, incorporating feedback from internal and external partners
- Create and enhance internal libraries and tools to improve development efficiency and scalability
- Mentor peers and share best practices to foster team growth and technical excellence
- Collaborate with stakeholders to plan and design business-driven features while mitigating technical risks
- Lead and participate in production support, triage, and incident resolution across environments
- Stay current with industry trends and apply innovative solutions to engineering challenges
Skills
- 1 year of relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree, Associate's degree or Coding Bootcamp/Code School OR equivalent relevant professional experience
- 1 year of relevant Enterprise Software Engineering experience at scale
- 1 year of development experience with React, Next.js, Typescript, JavaScript and similar technologies
- Experience using Cloud technologies with AWS preferred or GCP
- Experience integrating with Back End Web services, Figma and implementing design
- Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- 2 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree OR equivalent relevant professional experience
- 2 years of development experience with React, Next.js, Typescript, JavaScript and similar technologies
- Ability to build and optimize web applications and platforms in a cloud environment with a solid understanding of front-end design
- Ability to collaborate with product managers
- Ability to triage and manage complex, production issues
- Experience building highly scalable and performing applications
