Job Summary
As a Data Engineer at arenaflex, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining our cloud-based data warehouse. This will involve working closely with our data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand their data needs and develop solutions that meet their requirements. You will also be responsible for ensuring the security, scalability, and performance of our data warehouse, as well as identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing changes as needed.
Key Responsibilities
* Design, build, and maintain our cloud-based data warehouse using a range of technologies, including Amazon Redshift, S3, and AWS Lambda
- Work closely with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand their data needs and develop solutions that meet their requirements
- Ensure the security, scalability, and performance of our data warehouse, including implementing data encryption, access controls, and backup and recovery procedures
- Identify opportunities for improvement and implement changes as needed to optimize data processing, storage, and retrieval
- Collaborate with our data engineering team to develop and implement new data pipelines and architectures
- Develop and maintain documentation for our data warehouse, including data models, data flows, and technical specifications
- Participate in code reviews and ensure that all code is well-documented, tested, and follows best practices
- Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in data engineering and cloud-based technologies, and apply this knowledge to improve our data solutions
Essential Qualifications
* 3+ years of experience in data engineering, with a focus on cloud-based data warehouses
- Strong background in data modeling, data warehousing, and data integration
- Experience with a range of data engineering tools and technologies, including Amazon Redshift, S3, and AWS Lambda
- Strong understanding of data security, scalability, and performance, including data encryption, access controls, and backup and recovery procedures
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex technical issues
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience with modern programming languages, such as Python, Java, or Scala
- Experience with non-relational databases, including object stores, document stores, and graph databases
- Experience with data visualization tools, such as Tableau or Power BI
- Experience with cloud-based data platforms, such as AWS Glue or Google Cloud Data Fusion
- Certification in data engineering or a related field, such as AWS Certified Data Engineer or Google Cloud Certified - Professional Data Engineer
