- School Year ?23- ?24 Certified Teacher -Tutor ($40 hourly) Non-Certified Tutor ($30 hourly)
- Waterford Elementary School

- Paid training via Zoom 9/5, 9/6, 9/7, 9/8
- Program Dates: 9/18/23 - 6/1/23
- Monday & Wednesday: ELA tutoring 3:15 - 4:30 (grades 3-6); Tuesday & Thursday: Math tutoring 3:15 - 4:30 (grades 3-6)
- 5 hrs. per week of tutoring + 4 prep + 1 coaching + 1 site meeting = 11 total hours of work per week while school is in session.
- Engage with scholars in grades 3 - 6 to build on existing mathematics and/or literacy skills.
- Complete daily records on scholar progress and site needs using the tools provided.
- Use data to drive instruction.
- Communicate regularly with your site coordinator to provide optimum learning- experiences for scholars.
- Participate in coaching from an instructional coach.
- Use an asset-based approach in working with scholars.
- Be responsive and work collaboratively with other tutors and site staff.
- Complete all training.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Experience working with young children, preferably in a learning and teaching capacity.
- Standard certificate, certificate of eligibility (CE), or certificate of eligibility with advanced standing (CEAS) to receive the $40 hourly pay rate.
- New Jersey Certification of Criminal History (fingerprint form)
- Experience with Google Suite functions including Google Sheets and Forms.
- Professional skills include attention to detail, timely and proactive communication, and job preparedness.
- Reliable transportation to travel to sites.
- Genuine desire to work with young children in a teaching capacity, building on foundational skills and closing learning gaps using formative and summative data and strong teaching pedagogy.
- Background Clearance - The final offer of employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a background check and employment authorization verification.
- Local COVID requirements of the Waterford Elementary School site including any mask rules that must be followed while indoors, if applicable.
