About the role:

A typical day in the life of our Manager of Business Intelligence could include leading a team of analysts and engineers, owning the strategic architecture of our BI environment, and partnering with executive leadership to track critical KPIs.

  • You’ll work closely with the CTO to define and execute Nextep’s overarching BI strategy to ensure data initiatives align with company growth.
  • Oversee the extraction and integration of complex datasets from PrismHR and other third-party tools into a centralized ecosystem.
  • Design and deliver sophisticated internal dashboards for Sales, Operations, and Finance while developing client-facing analytics for our SMB customers.
  • Maintain rigorous data governance and security standards to ensure full compliance with PII and HIPAA regulations.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies in HR tech and data visualization to drive innovation and inform strategic decisions.

Requirements

About you:

  • You have a Bachelor’s degree.
  • You have at least 5 years of progressive experience in Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, or Data Engineering.
  • You have a strong background in the PEO or HR Tech industry, with deep knowledge of payroll datasets and HRIS structures.
  • You have expert-level proficiency in Snowflake and SQL, and proven mastery of Power BI or Looker.
  • You have exceptional communication skills with the ability to translate complex data into clear narratives for executive leadership and small business owners.
