The role involves focusing on daily news and analysis, producing a reasonable volume of stories under deadline pressure, and requires strong journalism fundamentals and digital media proficiency.
Responsibilities
- Focus heavily on daily news and analysis, in addition to occasional researched feature reporting
- Uncover, pitch and track compelling news stories
- Produce a reasonable volume of daily stories under deadline pressure
- Work with a range of other reporters
Skills
- Experience writing and editing for digital media publications
- Ability to work quickly and cleanly, and report breaking news efficiently and accurately
- Full grasp of online publishing from story creation, to sourcing art and publication
- Proficiency in WordPress including gallery creation when appropriate
- B2B background strongly preferred
- A strong interest in technology and AI innovation
- Solid public speaking skills for potential webinar, digital fireside chat, and live conference speaking opportunities
