Quantitative Trader
GTS is a collection of financial services companies looking for Quantitative Traders to design, develop, and manage profitable systematic trading strategies. The role involves collaborating with technology and trading experts to implement trading strategies using C++ and Python.
Responsibilities
- The ideal candidate will be a high achiever with a strong quantitative trading background
- They should be very comfortable working in Python and/or C++/Java
- They will have a lot of initiative, exceptional problem-solving abilities, and thrive in a competitive environment
Skills
- B.S., M.S. or PhD in engineering, mathematics, physics, statistics, computer science
- 1+ years of experience working on a prop trading, quantitative trading or electronic trading desk (investment bank, hedge fund, etc.)
- Significant experience with alpha generation and portfolio management
- Strong programming skills - C++/Java and Python preferred
- Working knowledge of Linux and code repository management preferred
- Excellent communication skills: the ability to express complex concepts in simple terms
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
