Position Summary

As a Member Service Representative, you'll be working from home in Virginia, providing telephone assistance to our Medicaid and Medicare members and providers. You'll be the first point of contact for our members, responding to a wide range of inquiries, from eligibility and provider changes to requests for ID cards. We're looking for someone who is not only knowledgeable about our products and services but also has excellent communication skills, a strong work ethic, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences.

Responsibilities

* Answer incoming member and provider calls and respond to inquiries regarding benefits, eligibility, services, prior authorization requirements, extra benefits, and programs

  • Provide accurate and timely information to members and providers, resolving issues and concerns in a professional and courteous manner
  • Utilize our CRM system to document interactions, track progress, and escalate issues as needed
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including claims, customer service, and provider relations, to resolve complex issues and improve member satisfaction
  • Participate in ongoing training and development to stay up-to-date on our products, services, and policies
  • Meet or exceed performance standards, attendance requirements, and call quality goals

Required Qualifications

* High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred

  • 1-2 years of experience in a customer-facing role, preferably in the healthcare or insurance industry
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound decisions
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on collaboration and customer satisfaction
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Reliable high-speed internet connectivity with secure service via ethernet cable (Wi-Fi is not permitted)

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience working remotely in a call center setting

  • Familiarity with Medicaid and Medicare programs and policies
  • Bilingual or multilingual skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with members and providers in multiple languages
  • Experience with CRM systems and other software applications used in customer service environments

Compensation and Benefits

* Competitive salary range: $17.00 - $27.90 per hour
