HOME HOSPITAL TEACHER

JOB DESCRIPTION

PRIMARY FUNCTION: Provide instructional support to individual students approved for Home Hospital (General Ed and Special Ed). Up to 5 hours per week.

REPORTS TO

Immediate Supervisor

Director of Student Support Services

AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

• Provide instructional support to individual students approved for Home Hospital
• Must be familiar with APEX, or Clever
• Must be familiar with Canvas and distance learning strategies
• Maintain contact with family throughout the week
• Provide district administrator and CVISS counselor with updates regularly on student progress
• Must be able to meet with student after school hours virtually or in person

Note

The assigning of home hospital teachers will be based on the credential need of the student and the number of students enrolled in the program.
