Job title: Adjunct Faculty FMC- Online Company: AAPC Job description: This is a remote contract position AAPC is the world?s largest training and credentialing organization for the business of healthcare, with more than 190,000 members worldwide who work in medical coding, medical billing, clinical documentation improvement, medical auditing, healthcare compliance, revenue cycle management, and practice management. AAPC is seeking online faculty candidates for our Virtual Instructor Training Program for the following course ? ?Fundamental Medical Concepts (FMC)? Duties and Responsibilities

• Teach assigned courses as specified in the schedule and course contract
• Prepare course materials and lesson plans for the Live Sessions.
• Follow and guide students to the prescribed course Material
• Use AAPC?s learning management system to access syllabus, assignments and other materials and to communicate with students
• Use AAPC?s Virtual Classroom Platform to conduct live in person sessions.
• Deliver course content using a variety of teaching styles and provide interesting and engaging assignments that demonstrate the real-world applications of concepts covered
• Observe and evaluate student performance in meeting course objectives and learning outcomes through assignments, practical exercises, and assessments ; provide feedback in a timely manner on student progress and performance
• Be available for student consultation through office hours or scheduled appointments using AAPC?s Virtual platform or by phone or email
• Maintain records of enrollment and attendance, assessments and grades.
• Encourage students to submit course evaluations, review course evaluations when available and use feedback to improve course delivery
• Provide feedback to revise and update course content as needed
• Attend one or more orientation sessions to become familiar with AAPC?s policies and procedures and the learning management system
• Respond to Students Coaching Questions within 48 Hours.
• Follow Instructor Delivery Standards as prescribed by central operations
• Act as a professional mentor and a working example of the benefits of AAPC membership, certification, and engagement.

Qualifications

• Current and Valid AAPC Approved Instructor Certification OR current LPN or RN designation.
• Prior teaching experience in corporate training, particularly to adult students desirable
• Prior experience teaching online desirable

• Demonstrated effectiveness in teaching adult learners
• Commitment to excellence in teaching and mentoring students
• Ability to use technology effectively in teaching
• Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
• Good organizational skills and timeliness in responding to student inquiries
• Ability to establish and maintain effective interpersonal relationships with students and colleagues
• For online teaching, experience with teaching fully online or in hybrid format
